Single and Universal Expansion Joints  
In addition to our catalog standard single and universal expansion joint products, American BOA can design and manufacture expansion joints uniquely engineered to suit your special applications. In these situations our engineers utilize the system operating conditions to develop special expansion joint assemblies that have capabilities beyond our standard products.
Pressure Balanced Expansion Joints  

Pressure-balanced expansion joints are utilized where the pressure thrust is too large to be resisted by the main anchors, or the attached equipment. This type of expansion joint is designed to absorb axial, lateral, and angular movement while at the same time restraining the pressure thrust force. American BOA manufactures pressure-balanced expansion joints in a variety of styles such as externally pressurized-pressure-balanced, in-line pressure balanced, and pressure-balanced elbows.

Hinge and Gimbal Expansion Joints  
Hinge and gimbal expansion joints prevent the axial movement of the bellows yet allow angular rotation in one plane only (hinged), or permit angular rotation in any plane (gimbal). Hinge and gimbal expansion joints also restrain the pressure thrust forces through the use of hinge/gimbal hardware.
Fabricated Piping Assemblies  
In addition to manufacturing and supplying only expansion joint assemblies, American BOA can provide complete piping assemblies including expansion joints, piping, and piping accessories. Through this value-added service we provide a completed assembly ready for installation at the jobsite. This minimizes the sub-vendors involved in completing a project, and insures reliable fit-up between piping components.
