With over 300 unique welding procedures, American BOA has employs various welding processes to meet the highest industry standards. Our welding procedures meet or exceed industry-leading standards, including ASME Section IX, AWS D17.1, AWS D17.2 and other applicable requirements.
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. This process allows us to join a wide range of material thicknesses, geometries, and metallurgies as the situation requires. We employ manual, semi-manual, and fully automated TIG welding depending on the unique needs of the task at hand.
This process is particularly suitable for welding thin and delicate materials effectively with minimal distortion. PAW is regularly employed in high volume bellows tube production.
Here we apply controlled pressure and electrical current to form sub-surface welds with exceptional strength and integrity. This method is utilized in unique scenarios where more traditional weld geometries are not suitable.
